Wait and See

While I read the Journal you're always reading Us
I never understood what was all that fuss
over Britney's bald head or Jennifer's flings
but apparently these all are important things.

On the subject of music we seldom agree
and trust me we won't be talking technology, see
if I like Air, you like Air Supply
and still think computers have hamsters inside.

But where our differences end, I've always found my closest friend.

So why don't we wait and see?
Why not try you and me?
Why don't we wait and see?

I like my curries hot and my skiing cool.
You like to eat bland food by the side of the pool.
You claim I never listen to a single word you have to say
But I swear I've heard that three times already today.

Now I lost track in 2023 of all the men you seem to manage to see
after four Fred's, three Joe's, two Toms, and one Chris,
it never occurred to me I'd make your list.

And while it might sound odd, I love her more for being flawed.

So why don't we wait and see?
